What I did in week eleven, 2023

In continuation to week nine and ten, here are a few things that caught my attention in week eleven, 2023:

• 👨‍💻 Setapp is getting better and better. Now Hand Mirror from Rafael Conde and Dato from Sindre Sorhus are also included in the subscription price.
• 💬 Speaking of Sindre, I've bought Ask AI to send some money to him.
• 📺 Continued watching Star Wars: The Bad Batch, Shrinking, and The Mandalorian. We watch The Mandalorian every two weeks now because it's nicer to be able to watch two episodes straight. We'll do the same in rotation with Ted Lasso, which we'll start next week.
• 📺 Started watching Reservation Dogs: Season 2
• 💖 omg.lol is getting better and better. I moved my blog to weblog.lol, wich recently received nice feature additions. Micro.blog felt a bit redundant all the time to me, since all the nice people there are also active on Mastodon at the moment. I have therefore given up micro.blog for the time being and now use "exclusively" omg.lol services.

  • maique did it again and this time came up with a shortcut to upload a photo to some.pics.

What I did in week nine and ten, 2023

I was allowed to give a lecture at a conference in Stralsund on the Baltic Sea. This involved a lot of preparation, long train journeys, little time and poor internet. Therefore, I unfortunately did not get to write and publish my weekly review last week. I'll make up for that here. Nice side effect of my business trip was that I was allowed to visit two breweries.

In continuation to week eight, here are a few things that caught my attention in week nine and ten, 2023:

• 📺 I've finished season 2 of Slow Horses (2022). What a great show. Gary Oldman as Jackson Lamb is incredible. We started watching The Mandalorian S3 as a family event and I caught up with Shrinking (2023) together with my wife. We really do enjoy this show. Ah, I caught up with Star Wars: The Bad Batch as well, and we are really looking forward to Ted Lasso S3.
• 🎥 No movies that last two weeks, but for sure there will be some Oscar nominees to watch in the next couple of weeks.
• 🐛 I am really annoyed by another iOS bug. Settings.app keeps telling me that there is an update for purchase sharing, and more or less crashes when I click on the message, only to show the warning again a few minutes later. Seems to be widespread in Germany at least.
